Led replacement lights for john deere tractors
Led replacement lights for john deere tractors

I do known that Dad's 4440, purchased new, came with two extra front, upper cab lights, and it worked for many years, then started having problems with lighting relays, that's when John Deere mechanic says those two extra roof lights (front ) never were "factory" or should not be on the lighting circuit so they got their own relay, with power directly from the batteries, activated by the "bright light" switch. (couldn't read old lamps (burnt out ), So I don't know what they were, that I replaced ) I known NAPA has a 50 watt, Halogen, part #H7606 for $23.49 each, that I just installed in the two rear lower lights of Dad's 4440. I'm curious on the Halogen, did they quote you 35 watt, 50 watt, or 55 watt lights? So my question is does anyone have experience with upgrading to Halogen vs. We try not to do too much with this tractor at night but as you know often we get caught with an hour or two left to finish with rain coming and end up working at night with it (and in the dark compared to the 8,000 series tractors ). I have talked to our local Deere dealer and they gave me two options to utilize the current wiring and light mounts: replace with Halogen bulbs at $22.93 each ($183.44 to replace all 8 ) or upgrade to LED lights at $133.40 each ($1,067.20 to replace all 8 ). It still has the original incandescent lights on it. We have a John Deere 4440 that we still use for some field work and would like to upgrade the lights on.
